In the early morning, my supervisor picked us up to work.
到了工作地點,他就開始設定機器,好讓我們八點能開始上班。
When we arrived, he started setting the machine in order to let us start at 8 o'clock.
今天的酒瓶有點像白蘭地那種扁身的酒瓶,
The bottles today looked like Brandy bottles (special shape), but smaller.
大老闆為了這瓶酒,還特地去買新的零件來組裝.
Our boss bought a set of whole new parts just for this bottle.
工頭花了一個小時裝好零件後,正式開工.
The supervisor spent one hour to set it and we started.
才不到十分鐘,工頭將機器停下來,
After 10 mins, the supervisor stopped the machine,
開始研究起軟木塞與酒瓶之間微妙的關係。
and started to study the delicate relationship between the bottle and cork.
我很好奇的探頭過去看,
I felt curious and took a look.
一切看起來都很好阿,塞的進去,也塞的剛好.
Everything looked fine, the cork was in and just matched.
可是工頭說:不行,瓶裡的空氣沒抽光,壓力的問題會讓軟木塞自動往外跑。
The supervisor said "No, the air hasn't been vacuumed out,
the cork will be pressed out automatically by the presure.
阿咧!!這樣大的學問,我當然不懂。
Oh my god! This is a abstruse knowledge, I don't understand, of course.
因為這瓶子實在太小了 (350c.c.),一般標準瓶是 750c.c. 機器降到最低高度還是沒法解決,
Because the bottle is really small (350c.c. only), and the normal bottle is 750c.c.
Even though he lowered the machines to match the bottle, it still didn't work.
這一搞,兩小時過去了. 工頭打電話給老闆,酒莊的人也一直來關心, 但這樣一直浪費時間也不是辦法,
Two hours passed, the supervisor called the boss,
the person came from the winery concerned about it as well.
It's not good to waste time without any good solution.
三方討論後,決定停止包裝這瓶酒,換下一種.
After discussing, they decided to stop packing this wine, and change to the next.
下一種酒的瓶子是一般式樣,只是小了點 (375c.c.)
The bottle of next wine is the normal shape, just smaller. (375c.c.)
剛開始一切如意,本以為日子好過了
Everything was fine in the begining. I guessed we can go through.
沒想到...才10分鐘,過濾器出了問題
Just 10 mins, something wrong with the filter.
這種酒很甜,太過高的甜度顯的濃稠,
This kind of wine is very sweet. Because it's too sweet, it's sticky.
使得過濾器被黏住了,就是酒卡在過濾器過不來。
Because it's so sticky, it blocked the filter.
工頭宣布:妳們先去午餐吧,我換過濾器得花一點時間.
The supervisor asked us to have lunch first because he needed time to change a new filter.
才十點半多一些,午餐喔?
Oh my god, it's just around 10:30, lunch time?
好吧,那就午餐吧.
All right, let's go lunch.
工頭大陣仗的把過濾器換掉,我們大陣仗的吃完"午餐"
The supervisor spent a lot time to change it, and we spent a lot time to have "lunch"
十一點回去工作.
We went back working at 11:00
嗯,一切都很好,只是...
Hmmm...everything was fine, but......
瓶子被我們用完了,十二點,工作結束,收工回家.
We ran out of the bottles, finished working at 12:00, went home.
工頭忙了四小時,結果我們只做了一小時的工,
The supervisor has been busy for four hours, but we only worked one hour.
老闆還是得付我四小時的錢。
My boss still has to pay me for 4 hours.
